2007 Cannondale Capo chain width

I just picked up a 2007 Cannondale Capo and would like to turn it into a fix. Can anyone tell me the width of the chain so I can determine which cog to purchase. Also the size of the pedals. Seems to be confusing for a newbie like me with all the different sizes. Appreciate the help. =)

On the Cannondale site it lists that the 07 came with a Shimano 9 speed chain. Most likely it's a 3/32 chain.

As for the pedals I'm not sure what you mean by size.

How would I know for sure the width of the chain? Is there any markings on the chain that would indicate that? I was referring to the spine of the pedal. Sorry for be vague.. I am still new to the lingo. Thank you for replying to my post!

Because multi gear chains have to be thinner to fit in-between the sprockets on a cassette. Since it's a 9 speed chain it has to be 3/32. 1/8 chains are for single-speed applications.

As for the pedals, I'm still not following you. You don't have to really worry about the spindle size of a pedal. Just see what type of pedal you want and get it.

Bikes: Cannondale Capo.

All you need to turn it into a fix is flip the hub.

Maybe you have seen different pedal sizes.. the capo has 9/16 pedals.

Bikes that have a 1 piece crank have 1/2 pedals, and 3 piece cranks have 9/16.

I was under the impression that I would need a cog on the otherside so I can turn it into a fix even though its a flip hub.. drainyoo, I just want to be certain I dont order the wrong part as you can see I am still pretty new to the bike lingo.

Yes you would need a cog, if you dont have one on there already.

You would also need a lock ring, and the tools to install it if you are going to do it yourself.

The tools are a chain whip ($10-20), and a lockring wrench,($25) or have your lbs do it.

IMO its worth buying the tools.
