Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

this is a picture thread. if youre not here to post pictures of bikes that you think are "classy", whatever that word might mean to you, then close the window because this isnt the thread for you
Because the majority of bikes you posted are NOT classy but tarcky, so you aren't looking for a classy bike.

that is clearly a manger door. the Confente was probably cold, so they moved baby Jesus outside.

it's behind a garage door. the guy was gonna sell me the saddle but i didn't really want it.
he said he still races it i think and that saddle wasn't on it anymore. so maybe it's an old pic.

I cant afford old road bikes so I just ride new ones LOL. Maybe if I decide to sell more crap off my walls and shelves and stuff, I can get an old bike... til then, I'll ride my lowly new one. Actually I do want to get a steel bike. been thinking of a new Gan Well Pro... That red one I posted above is friggin gorgeous...

I've been looking into fixed gear bicycles and i have notice that a few have like a thick welding (Bridgestone a few posts up) or something on the top tube. Can someone explain what it is to me or is it just for looks?

There's almost nothing about that bike that isn't hideous.
