Um, I don't understand what you are asking here.
Simple no.
Machined means that the side wall is "machined" done by what ever tool to make a braking surface.
You could paint over it, but to me thats just stupid.
I hope thats what your asking.

i used a brake on my aeroheads so they machined themselves. i went over them with a super huge magnum marker and it looks perfect.

just keep machining the sidewalls until they go away. problem solved. no more machined sidewall. i've seen quite a few denver kids who have done it.

Is this another "I'm too cool to look like I use brakes" thread?

yes, you can. if you send me your wheels and a small fee for labor, about 75 dollars, I will remove them for you. Just make sure to send the money and the wheels.

if you cut off the sidewalls really cleanly, you could have tubular rims!

You can replace the rims with others that aren't machined.

The other option is to ride without tires for a while. That will eventually remove the machined sidewalls, plus other useless parts, like the rider and his teeth.
