It's too bad bikeisland doesn't ship to Canada.

This is tough, I just got a new job. Must resist building a new bike!
|
I'm pretty sure it's 587. The geo is pretty much the same as the Steamroller, except longer wheelbase (probably 405 chainstays).

I think there's a small typo on the frame geometry chart. 507 doesn't seem like the right top tube for a 59cm frame. Did they mean 597?
Other than that, it's the frame of my dreams. A track frame that I can put a rack, fenders, and fat tires on. |
i really want to see this with some wheels and tires on it. It'd be nice to get an idea of how the frame looks on a complete bike
|
dear goodness, if it had canti brakes i'd probably turn tricks just to build up a chrome one.
|
i ordered a blue 53 and a black 53 because I couldn't decide which color. will probably sell the other one on craigslist.
|
can't wait to see one of these built up.
|
No Cantis. :(

Well spotted! 59cm has 587TT - the dem has a typo - I'll get Jeff to fix Same basic design as streamroller with a bit more room for tires and fenders [chainstay actually 425] Same frame builder too; just a bit more features and Reynolds 520 tubing We will be posting actual frame drawing soon |
damn, the chrome is cool, but im loving the silver. underrated for sure.
same frame builder as steamroller? wow some build one already |

/\
very nice, looks rugged i love the fork too |
1 1/8 steel fork...why? 1 inch would be lighter.
|
I just want the chrome fork for my steamroller...
|
Lookin great Mike and Jeff! Can't wait to see a silver or chrome built up
|

The container with these frames unloads today!
I am very excited for Jeff at BI to get them photoed and on bikeisland site. sizes are 49, 53, 56, 59, 62 colors are Black, Orange, Silver, Blue AND Chrome Plated With very nice fork - they are going to be $199 in paint as intro price and the Chrome Plated will be $249 frame and fork have WTF spacing so that tires at least 40c can be used [probably could go a bit wide]. Of course, you can still run 23c or 25c - no problem. Jeff will have pictures better than mine |
i'll definitely wait to see the phantom uno....
but that looks amazing with the thomson/flite and knobby 38s |

But the spacing is so large; we need extra long brakes [beyond what we stock] So they must be run fixed gear [which is fine for some people] or buyers have to get an old school campy drop bolt or a long reach brake that is up to 80mm or so. We will be getting special brakes for these - but it will take awhile http://i161.photobucket.com/albums/t...tor/juryc3.jpg http://i161.photobucket.com/albums/t...tor/juryc2.jpg http://i161.photobucket.com/albums/t...tor/juryc1.jpg |
Any details on the Fantom Uno? Will it be steel? Estimated cost for the complete?
|
Would a brake with 75mm reach work for these frames? Or does it have to be at least 80?
