adorable copy/paste and everything, but you seem to have overlooked the fact that the way sike is being used above doesn't appear in your dictionary entry. silly square...

You're correct, it is spelled wrong. In fact, "sike", as you used it above, is not only spelled incorrectly it isn't even a real word. It's slang. The actual word "sike" -- when spelled and used correctly -- is a small stream, gully, or ditch.

Don't try to school me boy, you'll just wind up looking like a fool.

You keep referring to me as a nerd as if it affects me negatively. I play table-top roleplaying games, the accordion, and I work at the local renaissance faire. I am, in fact, a nerd. No questions asked.

I revel in my nerdity.

That said, I probably got laid more last weekend than you have in the last year, so it all balances out.

What's it like to be wrong in regard to every statement you make? And that post is full of statements.

Guys, "sike" from my perspective has NOTHING to do with the internet. I've never typed it until today and I don't think I've ever seen it online before assisting in this thread jack. However, back in junior high, we wrote it as "sike" in those little comics and notes that we wrote and drew and folded like paper footballs and paper wallets to pass around in class when the teacher was writing on the board.

And yes, at least most of us knew it came from "psych."

But mostly I remember dudes coming up to shake hands with you in the hall, and they would pull their hand away and make like they were combing their hair, and say "SIKE!"

That shiz must be from a movie but I cannot remember it.

i coulda sworn 'jawn' came from 'joint' not 'john.'

and by the way i think sp00ki is right about everything else. sike is right. psyching someone is getting them excited to go do something fun. siking someone is that thing people used to do, which got got played out in 3rd grade....

SIKE

No, again, you're wrong just like the other dude.

"sike" is referring to psyching someone out. i.e. "psych out", or "psych" for short. Nice try though.

Also, "phat" has NOTHING to do with "fat"...
