Skidding
I know it's the most newb thing to ask but I've always had brakes so I never learned how to skid.
Can someone point out a "how to skid" topic...I know it should be natural but any help would be great.

I'm going to assume I can safely return to the original subject of the thread. . .
A mistake I made when I was starting to skid, that I never found in the threads available, was to concentrate so much on mashing the pedals back that I was actually pulling up on the handlebars a little like a kid trying to do a wheelie. So I had the leg power to move the wheel backwards, but the increase in traction turned it into a skip stop. Actively concentrating on pressing down on the bars led me to skid.

Bikes: looks like a specialized crux now
certain types of handle bars are easier to skid on than others. take that into consideration
i cant get enough leverage to skid on risers and have a preference for bullhorns.
I can use drops in pinch, but i would rather not.
