Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

+1 on the An-atomica. Got one on my fixie. Super comfortable.
-10 on the SOMA Kamisori. God I hated that saddle, and I required extensive taint reconstruction after riding on it.

Bikes: several

Like others have said, it's all personal. It also depends on what you're riding in. My road bike saddle is much harder than my fixed gear saddles because I wear bike shorts/tights/whatever on it and usually just street clothes on my fixies. Most respectable shops will let you return saddles as long as they look new. Cover the rails with electrical tape and you should be able to get a good feel for the saddle before it shows wear.

Seriously! I have a Profile Designs on my tri bike and that thing is insanely comfortable. I've never tried it on any of my other bikes though. Riding position on a tri/tt bike is so different from what most people on this forum are rocking.

yeah, i have been hearing from a few people on here that they were chosen as testers for the new seat. heard nothing but amazing things from each of them.

did they give you an idea of price range it might fall in when it comes out?

I had a Concor and didn't like it all. The San Marco Strada is a really comfortable saddle but hard to find. I just sold mine because it was white and I'm too lazy to keep cleaning it.

Now I ride the Rolls...I love it. And for $36 bucks from probikekit.com...sweet deal.

No one can help you without detailed photos of your taint.

PM these to everyone that has responded to your thread to get their opinion.

Except me.

I just work here.

I just got a Fizik Aliante Gamma Twin Flex: https://www.fizik.it/catalog.aspx?sub...win_flex_white and I am absolutely loving it. No more pain and numbness, plus its a pretty firm saddle. $112, but in my opinion it's definitely worth it.
