You saw it at a shop that sells it, but can't do the facing on it, because they aren't up to being an average shop.

What does this tell you, that the shop that sells it is not a shop that works on bikes?

Seems like a perfect fit for you.

We're talking about King Kog here.

Nice catch. Spending the cash on a CK and neglecting to face the head-tube is pretty much epic fail.

This is a question probably best left to the framebuilder's forum, but after a headtube is faced, how to you protect the now-exposed bare steel from moisture permeation and corrosion?

the simple solution is clear nail polish

how do you get significant corrosion if you have a very flush cup sitting in a very tight tolerance right on top of the faced area?

I'm amazed at how much time people have to sit in front of their computers & spew negativity. This probably drives people with substance in their lives to stay away from fora such as these. It really speaks to the character of the entire board. It's a real shame.

hahahahaha. dude, you just make it so easy...

with gems like "thats a bro i can kick it with," i hope that you continue riding FG so that another hobby/sport/subculture doesn't have to endure your ***********

It's really a shame that someone who does a search looking for info on Sparton frames might come across this & many other threads & potentially be turned away by kids who have no first hand experience with the product.

I pose a challenge & will post the names of everyone who bothered to come on this thread, but added nothing of substance. I challenge those of you to explain in a mature manner, the reason for your disdain specifically against the Sparton frame.

I guarantee there won't be anyone who will be able to accomplish this.

EDIT: I don't have to make a list, you all already have shown what you are. Challenge still on tho.

Dude, you are a sheep. Looking for attention & acceptance by the scum you aspire to be like. Taking a misworded "quote" of mine & adding it to another thread with which has nothing to do with the topic at hand shows you need some attention.

You from a single parent home?

SingleSpeeDemon 09-11-08 08:37 PM

Lol

imoscardotcom 09-11-08 08:40 PM

Haha, sheep you say?

Am I the one pursuing an 'NJS Keirin' frame for street riding? burnnnnnnnn

Adam G. 09-11-08 08:42 PM

Sparton is cool looking bike indeed. Shoot, my 08 SE Lager has track ends.

No, you're the one who converted his mom's bike into this POS

imoscardotcom 09-11-08 08:51 PM

Oh yeah, you're right dude. My bad, friends don't let friends ride conversions. I totally forgot

It's not the Sparton frame that we disdain.
