Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

I use "photo bucket". You need to upload your picture to an online photo album and then insert the HTML code in your post. The picture will then appear. Or something to that effect.

Disregard the 'HTML Code:'...

HTML Code:
[img]https://www.photobucket.com/blah/blah.jpg[/img]
Put the img tags around the URL... note the / in the img tag at the end.

Click the yellow icon above the message dialogue entry box and then paste in the URL for the photobucket image.

Upload your photos onto www.photobucket.com for free. Then, under that uploaded picture (now on photobucket), copy the "IMG Code." Then paste that code right into the post. The picture will appear.

Sorry about the lo-fi cellphone shot. This is from my test run after setting up my old Trek 660 as a SSCX rig.

It works!

And here's my son and his SS:

Good grief that top tube is insanely sloped. It looks like a dirt jumper frame.

It is actually a Dawes Lightning. This is the British Dawes and I think the bike is from the 70s or so. Reynolds though. I have yet to get it on a scale, but the thing weighs next to nothing. My other bike is a Surly Long Haul Trucker and it makes this bike feel like I am riding on air.

Thanks. Picked it up off craigslist. Some guy restored it, then realized it was too small. It is absolutely beautiful, and since getting it, I have rarely ridden my road bike. Fixed is where it is. I don't have to think about anything other than the ride.

The track bars kill my hands, so I will post another photo when I get the drops on. This bike is just right.

Thanks for the support.

If you're on a Mac, you can use ImageShack - they have a dashboard widget that makes it 'drag, drop, click, then paste into your web browser.

If you use the Windows equivalent - Yahoo widgets, etc. - you could probably find the same thing.
