I'm a few days late on this one, but if you pause the video at 4:16 you can clearly see that the jackets they're wearing are GoLites...

rpm =/= speed

joaos 09-22-08 04:09 PM

60 gi 141rpm = 40,5km/h
65 gi 141rpm= 43,8km/h
70 gi 141rpm = 47,2km/h
75 gi 141rpm = 50,6km/h

iansmash 09-22-08 04:11 PM

well aware sir, i'm just curious as to what you're trying to point out aside from their cadence?

joaos 09-22-08 04:13 PM

Curiosity only.

what song is that?

I believe that's a John Fahey song. He's the Lance of acoustic guitar.

Guvna 09-22-08 05:02 PM

Never mind, definately Kottke. Same difference.

What kind of bike boxes did they use?

One of them used a cardboard box. Stop by your LBS and pick up a shipping box for a bike that was about your size. They're usually free and work should work awesome.

I don't know why they took the forks out. Seems like just taking off the stem/bars would be enough. Oh well.

AaronAnderson 09-22-08 08:54 PM

And I love the guy carrying the mini-keg

you can fit a frame into a smaller box if you take the fork off - probably applies for a whole bike too..

How were the RPMs figured out? Someone should notify Professional cycling teams to install 650s on all their front wheels to increase efficiency.
White Aeropoop 650s.
