Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Seriously, it's going to skid like crazy. You'd probably be safer with a fixed cog and no brakes.
You may want to try it before you start making a lot of assumptions. I have been riding this bike for four month and do not have any problem stopping. I can stop 10 times faster that a fixed gear with no brakes which a lot of you all are riding around.

all i'm saying is that it's gunna be hard to sell anything with advertising like that. perhaps you could stop putting words in people's mouths.

terrible.. just terrible...
At least I took the time to make assembly videos. I am trying to sell bikes, not videos.

The people who helped me with this project have are some of the best steel bike frame manufacuters in the world and have been in the bike industry for years. At interbike I found four booths that had their frames and there were probably several more that I didn't notice. So no, I am not a bike expert, but the people backing me are.

That's a bold claim. Make some more videos to qualify and quantify said claim.

I think this bike is a better product than battery powered motor assisted bikes that are powered using nuclear energy by proxy...
You won't have much of a chance of getting these into IBD's until you learn a bit about the basic names of bike components as well as the names of the procedures involved in installing said components...
I am not trying to get the bikes int a IBD. I am trying to pass savings off to the public by selling straight from me to them. This is NOT a Walmart quaity bike. The components are not pricey super high end, but they are good quailty components. The frame is butted steel which means the tubes are thicker on the ends to allow them to be welded, then thinner in the middle to save weight. The bike only weighs 20 LBs which is good for a steel frame. If this bike were to sell in a bike store it would probably sell for around $700.

i'm telling you dude, you need to rethink how you are marketing this bike. come up with a company name, then sell the bike from there. notice how bianchi sells the pista, iro sells the mark v, leader sells 721TR, etc. the osobike sounds like something i can buy on t.v. for five easy payments of $59.99.
