Somec Frame worth

Found this for sale, 58cm Somec frame. no orig paint, dent in downtube (said to be cosmetic)
How much would you pay just for the frame? and BB?

Wanted to get a designated track frame, and this is my size in what i think to be my price range.

It's a SOMEC, and since I have a soft spot for the marque............

I would shell out $200.00 or so, but it needs a real paintjob, and small dings are no big deal, they just need to be filled correctly for the new paint.

Somec bikes are on par with cinelli, and often use cinelli bottom bracket shells. If the frame integrity is intact, that frame is truly a gem. That said, everyone keep your hands off the somec road frame on ebay, dibs. No seriously, if I see someone post a build with it I'll hunt you down.

Forgot to add.........

When it gets repainted, make sure you show the world that it is a SOMEC with the proper transfers/decals. SOMEC script is awesome.

honestly, as a somec owner i have a soft spot for the bikes as well. but with non-oem paint and dent i would say 200-250. i wouldn't personally pay that, but some might. Sorry to hijack the thread but if anybody has any somec swag/jersey/hats/whatever let me know.

yeah the paint on that thing is atrocious. to restore it, you're looking at $100-200 on top of whatever you pay for it.

Give the guy 200.00 for it and rattle can it the color of your choice. It's a sweet frame but really, do you want to put the time and money into restoring it?
I'd buy it for a daily rider. 200.00 for frame & bb, 15.00 in rattle. Over & done.
