just for reference, the lever you're using is an interrupter lever, meaning it was originally made to mount on the bars between your regular road levers and your brake caliper. the interrupter lever, to put it simply, doesn't pull the cable; it pushes on the housing.

Hate to dig this up but does island still sell these kits? If not where can I get a cheap black front brake?
