Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? But seriously, how can you not like Nitto components? It's perfect for a framebuilder to showcase his work too since the Nitto parts don't steal the show due to it's most excellent understated sublimity.

The NJS-thing has pretty much tied Nitto and Japanese Keirin bikes together, almost to the point where a non NJS bike with Nitto stuff seems pose-y, as Commander LaForge suggests.

However, despite Nitto's country of origin, the smooth shapes and lines that comprise Nitto's track parts means they really nicely complement pretty much any frame. They are quite literally forged of pure class...and some aluminum.

dont get me wrong. I love Nitto - they're an excellent company and have quality product.

I would have gone with their european counterparts with that frame even though the frame is not explicitly of that lineage. for that showcase, I would have gone italian.

I just think something is off with that frame and it's classic paint scheme when paired with NJS components.

Looks like it but I couldn't find any more info. on the pic. Major Taylor raced twenty years before this so maybe the color barrier was down in pro cycling?

is that the sidewall or is it a weird rim? It looks like the tires are like 2 inches tall from top to bead.
