I'm curious why you think a non-machined braking surface will heat up significantly more than a machined braking surface.

dammit young why'd you have to get all serious? ok fine:
I didn't say, and don't think, that it would. I just don't think the break pads will grip a non-machined surface very well until it gets warm. Living in a city he'll probably never need to use the break enough to really heat up the breaking surface...
BUT I thought this thread was for ripping on peoples bikes so that's what I'm doing.

My bike is overly heavy, both derailers have issues, and the saddle sucks. Oh wait, other people are supposed to tell me what's wrong with my bike?

what do you think?
mostly stock Motobecane Team Track, w/ cinelli cork tape, gr-9/mks clips/ale straps, and san marco rolls, oh, and a front brake until I get to learn how to ride at the track which I plan on doing this summer!

you should take that off before you hit the track... along with your helmet mirror and viz vest.

are you afraid someone will steal your bike while you're taking a picture of it?

I'm compelled by this Moto team track. The frameset alone is priced modestly enough to justify using it on the streets.
hmmmmm... gets me thinking.
