I think it's a great classic-looking bike. Obviously not for most people. For what you are getting (Reynolds tubing, Brooks saddle, nice bars, etc), the price seems fair. I'll bet it's not as heavy as you think.

But still cool. Pashley make postal bikes for Royal Mail. When my brother was a postie, I rode one. It was a blast!

I made a similar bike out of an old Raleigh Sprite, Brooks saddle, North Road bars, 27" rims. When you ride in that upright style, it's all about just cruising along, not about how fast you can go.
