Yeah it's kind of ****ed up IMO. If you can't avoid fist fights with drivers it's probably more effective to adjust your attitude than it is to start carrying pepper spray

Something tells me pepper spraying drivers will make them more likely to end up hitting me.

Kimber makes 1911 style pistols, and some nice ones too. I know for a fact that my G27 will go thru a car window so it's only slightly better than pepper spray.

What about the less defensive riders among us? i for one know my girlfriend wont be able to fend of someone trying to take her bike/hurt her. With pepper spray though she might have a chance, i don't know who kimber is though.

I'm not saying pepper-spray is a bad thing all the time, however marketing it to cyclists to use against idiots, dogs, and drivers (none of whom are necessarily muggers, but all of whom COULD be) is a bit of a stretch.

They are supposed to be one of the best gun manufactures, but my .45 Kimber Custom Carry II sucked, it jammed up before, during, and after putting a little over 700 rounds thru it.

I don't really know why it is marketed here but it sounds like a better pepper spray delivery system. Most suck and backfire on those trying to use them. I always wanted a 1911 but not really my thing anymore.

Untill a dude jumps out from behind a parked car with a baseball bat, hits you in the chest, knocking you off your bike you as you ride past.

Then you might want the pepper spray/anything you can defend yourself with.

That's great for threatening someone with a shotgun, but the kick would knock you right over from that sitting position.
