Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

brendon ak - I'm digging the way you've got your Soma Sparrows mounted. I've only seen them the other way, like slight drops.

I used to run my Sparrows on my Soho S up, but after a while wanted to get just a touch lower. Sparrows are very versatile that way.

What's up with the brake? Looks like it's been attacked with a file. Nice ride in any case.

had to do some serious work with a metal file to get it to clear the knobby tire. but it works.

Really? That's just bizarre. Nicest ****ing hub I've laid hands on in a long time, though. Really, really good.

No, really. Note that the hub has been re-launched and is distinctly improved. I see originals around here and there and they're doing just fine, but the new ones are killer.

The Hive took things over and now they're putting out a truly top-notch product, my only qualm is that the Ti axle bolt (which are for a 15(17?)mm 7075 female axle) washer hardware is too fat for my Tuggnut, but I really don't mind adjusting my chain tension by hand every now and then. Plus laced up 3x to a Deep V by the best builder in Philly made for a great street wheel, it needed truing a couple days after I got it, but after that it hasn't been trued for about 7 months and it's still spinning straight (even after a few months on my steamroller urban-cross setup).
