I've been curious about those, too. They are similar to Time ATACs. I considered them when I got my last pair of MTB style pedals, but went with TIME to avoid the gamble. I don't know of any places that will let you demo pedals.

I have time atac aluim on my fixed gear bikes, and have a 10 year old set on my mtb. Been very happy with them.

Still kicking.
do you ride these?
i have, my experience is they are horrible for fixed gear.
i think maybe you could use them if you don't intend on doing any skidding/things that could inadvertently torque your foot(ever had to do some funky acrobatics to keep a trackstand on bad pavement?- you just un-clipped then).

Back on topic, PD M540's or Time Atacs.

I rode Frogs for years on my MTB but shortly after I started riding fg I got a pair of M540s for free and switched over. They seem to have fewer unintended releases than the Frogs but I still pop out under hard accel/decel more than I'd like.

i want to get the time atac's. using some wellgo generic spd pedals i got for 15 from craigslist. nothing great, but they've shown me the light to clipless riding, and this light is good.
