Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? Speedplay pedals and cleats. Smooth move. Kinda need to work on clip-in on a hurry tho. Keep slipping at cross-sections. > I suppose I can't have everything.

Stratos 400's.

Any brake lever recommendations? I think the bar is 26.0 all the way across.

CAUTION, DO NOT BUY

Hey Fellaz, I thought I'd let you know of something you prolly shouldn't pick up because of poor craftmanship. I picked up pretty much a whole new setup and have been slowly putting it together. The one thing I was disappointed in out of all the components was the lock ring I bought...

Do not buy a Miche components lockring. I bought a Miche track cog lockring and was pretty surprised and how schiesty it was built. If you run your finger along the thread, you feel nothing but burrs. It'll scratch up thread of you rear hub and scratch your cog. Its too bad, I though Miche made some pretty decent stuff, apparently they can't get it together on a simple lock ring though. Here is a pic of what I'm talking about:

Haha sorry for the gross fingernails. They're covered with grease, I also gotta cut em. ANYWAYS look at the burrs on this thing...RIDICULOUS! You've been warned!

I recommend the Milwaukee lockring from Ben's Cycle.

Meaning this one: https://www.benscycle.net/index.php?m...6d07629e1a9c6c

The Miche lockring is 1.32" x 24 tpi unlike Surly, Shimano or other standard 1.29" x 24 tpi. I do agree that the Miche lockring's quality seemed sub par to me. If you need the 1.32" EAI makes one that looks to be pretty nice and it's a lot cheaper then the Campy or Phil ones. I think Ben's has it for under 15 dollars. I haven't used it but I want to buy one for my Miche Hubs. I was very happy with my Surly lockring, lots of threads but it didn't work with my new hubs. I have also heard good things about the dura ace lockrings but have never used them. Having said that I am not sure about the Milwaukee lockring's threading.

Wow. That Miche lockring looks crappy. Clean up that edge with a file if you're going to use it.

townie indeed! Its the Traitor Cycles Rivet Commuter. It's 55 bucks with the matching bar tape, faux leather. A bit more than the Charge Spoon on my other bike, but I really like the look of it and its matching tape.

Cool. I kind of want one in the brown colour but I wasn't sure if I would like them. I just put my dad's old Selle Turbo saddle on my Kilo TT and they should feel the same. If I like it I'll have to try to find a bucket in the city
