Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

It is somewhat difficult while moving at speed because the weight off the strap forces the pedal and straps to face downard. It can be troublesome at times but definitely doable.

My first bike, first experience with straps so I cannot compare but I love them.

Funny to see some people from Temecula... Enjoying the hills and afternoon wind?

(I grew up there when the mall was a sheep pasture and we had one traffic light.)

Also: New back tire.

Trying out some ergo drops, went to bike co-op for some cheapo used parts!

Truvativ XR stem 90mm

FSA Wing Alloy bars 42cm

Unknown drop levers that came with the bars.

As well as brake cables, housings.
Still looking the perfect angle and height.

All for just 20 dollars!

Just picked up Specialized Armadillo 700x25 for the rear. Switch from a 23. I like it so far, a little smoother, I got it mostly got it for flat prevention, I've had a rash of them lately now that I am commuting more (new office location, ftw)
Also, I tried to add some Planet Bike Road fenders, had some issues, gonna work on them tonight.

alas, no pics

(first post, btw, hello all!)

Overhauled my bottom bracket and headset on the Pinarello and just the headset on the Pake.

And some tires for the Pinarello cause the Conti tubulars are lookin a little scary right about now.
