pay the extra 20 bucks and get the version that is laced to formula/joytech hubs...I bought that wheelset and stripped the lockring threads in a day. Granted the lockring was installed w/o grease, but a guy at th bike shop still thought that aluminum was super soft and crappy.

i had those hubs before. they work, but they can be a little rough after a while. just clean and lube the bearings often and it should serve you well. the alex r450 rims look pretty good. they are a good, inexpensive wheelset.

yea looks like the cheap Kilo/Windsor/Pista hubs that dont last long. there is a difference and enough to tell the difference between Formula and those generic non formulas. dont waste the money of getting these and have them stripp/bearing suck/fail/stripping lockring threads mostly on you. get a set with at least formulas if not phil hubs. ^_________^

I have been really pleased with my Formula hubs and the Formula hubs I have built for other folks have held up really well too... and I figure I subject them to as much abuse as anyone.

Love my Formula's. They're laced to WTB Dual Duty rims. Pretty bomber proof.
Sta-Tru are pretty bargain basement wheel builders from what I understand. They'll work, but they will probably need a lot of attention.

Cane Creeks hubs are pretty, cool idea to put on straight spokes & move nipples to the center, but they are a PITA to work on b/c the nipples are in a tight spot & you need a special CC wrench (you get w/wheels) to tension spokes.
