I know it's been posted a bunch but here's how I spent my Sunday afternoon.

I picked up a heavy duty stripper from Autozone and here's how everything came out.

It came out pretty good except for some reason, the glue on the PISTA decal still remains, I took nail polish remover but no luck.

Anyone else do this? What did you use for left over glue on the top tube? Also, did you do anything after like reapply a clear coat???

Apply a little kitchen oil to the leftover sticky stuff and let it sit for an hour or so, then wipe it off. Not sure about Bianchi, but many manufacturers have taken to applying decals on top of the clear, though your heavy duty stripper may have eaten it away, in which case you'd need to strip the entire clear coat and reapply.

Bianchi does them under the clearcoat, so I stripped the clearcoat off the top tube, down tube, and seat tube from weld to weld.

I've done it twice on Pistas. I used Jasco both times and they came out perfect. You may need to use a couple of coats of stripper to get all the clear coat and decals off. As for reapplying clear coat it is unnecessary, the chrome doesn't need protection and you have probably noticed it looks better without the clear anyway.

You can also try a little heat. Get a hair dryer and heat it up and it should peel off pretty easily. If the decal is still one solid piece it will come off with your fingernail.

If it's broken into lots of little pieces, it will drive you nuts to remove it with your fingers.
