Adriano---I know it's terrible. Haha. It's just that w/ nice steel I can tell such a difference. Especially when pumping up a hill.
Sputnik does have a low BB, but I run w/ 165mm cranks and I haven't had a single pedal strike (and I like to take some tight corners)
I didn't think about bareknuckle or geekhouse though. Those are both really cool. My friend has a BK and it is a nice looking bike...feels great too. I thought they discontinued it, though?

Gotcha, gotcha ... yeah ... I actually have a shirt from them I won in an alleycat ... seems like they make some really slick frames. Never ridden one, but they look like quality handmade bikes. I was surprised to learn they were attainable actually. Hah.

Most renters insurance will cover a fair amount of loss. When I got my policy I only had to put riders on it for my computers (up to about 3-4000, I forget exactly) and my fiance's ring. Since I have receipts for all the stuff I've purchased for my bike, I should be set if it ever gets stolen. I highly recommend renters insurance. I only pay ~$100 a year for almost 30,000 in coverage and $200,000 in liability coverage.

So I have now changed my mind to either the Bareknuckle or a Debernardi Thron or the Torelli Corsa Pista. discuss... (or change my mind again)

Once again, I present to you:
https://www.bobjacksoncycles.co.uk/pr...roducts_id=307
Outstanding reputation, including shipping charges from England this thing is still cheaper than a Bareknuckle, Debernardi or the Torelli. And if such things matter to you, made in England and not China.

has anyone actually gotten in touch with bob jackson? i have been wanting a road frame from him, and emailed trying to get some geometry specs. its been months, and i have emailed them 4 times, and never gotten a response.
im always hesitant to deal with someone that doesn't respond to emails. even if they are really backed up, they should take the time to tell you they will get it to you asap.

Has the Marinoni Pista been mentioned? The frame can be had for around $600.

maybe its different in boston, but here in LA i got my used NJS frame (with TT dent from bars, covered it with a kashimax) for 550, and I see undented ones for 700-800 on occasion. perhaps worth getting shipped? its a sweet deal i love my Eimei NJS
