IRO Mark V Pics
I finally bought a digital camera, and finally found the time to take some pics of my bike today. Here are a couple of the better ones:
I need to find some bar tape that matches the saddle a bit better. I am also thinking about switching the brake lever for a MTB-style one.
Suzue Pro Max hubs mated to Velocity Deep Vee rims (without machined sidewall) and Selle Italia Flite Titanium saddle. The rest of the components really aren't noteworthy.
The rest of the pics can be found here.

I actually don't know the exact price of the rims because they were bundled with the frame, et cetera, but they were probably about $50. One thing to note, though, is that the wheelset arrived dangerously under-tensioned, and I immediately had to get it re-trued. I didn't really complain, though, because I got the Suzue Pro Max hubs cheap.

Looks really good. Those wheels are awesome. I have been thinking about building a set of wheels with all black rims, and after looking at the pics I can't wait to start on the project.

you are probably thinking of the new 'ceramic' fad. those rims are designed to be braked on, though.
but actually those rims look very nice. i am thinking about getting some aeroheads without machined sidewalls. my phil wood hubs just arrived today...

I got an email response from Velocity re: Deep V's with non-machined sidewalls. They have 700c 28hole in stock and the 700c 32 hole will be stocked in early August.
