I have size 9 - size 10 shoes and I have the medium clips. It is a little bit small, but it helps my toe overlap a lot.

i personally hate metal clips...they'll tear up the front of your shoes a lot worse than plastic MTB clips will

so to answer your question, I would buy neither, and instead pick up some all city MTB clips w/ double gates

? What size frame/geometry style are you riding? I have GR-9's + Large plastic double-gate clips and get major toe clip overlap on my 49cm c-t true track frame. GR-9's are pretty long. I'm swapping them out for Dixna pedals and size MEDIUM MKS steel toe-clips, hoping to reduce toe clip overlap.

If your frame is fairly large, then Large's should be fine.

Large clips for me and I wear an 11.5 shoe, and I am riding GR-9s, good fit.
Right now I am using large plastic clips because my alloy clips snapped on me, darn things.
