lol at sweeping generalizations. Maybe you should pick up your "fixie" and barspin your way down to the local independent coffee shop where you can sip on free trade coffee with your art school dropout companions. Then you can pull some Kerouac, Rand or Camus out of your messenger bag, smoke some American Spirits and finish the crossword in the Onion.

congratualtions, you edited your post and came up with tool. quick wit and big words abound with you don't they? were you just pissed because you skateboard but picked up an off the shelf fixed gear because you could 'kickflip over something'. all the hatepost and you get to pick mine out cause i hit a sore spot with you? i'll say it again, **** SKATEBOARDS. go drink your mountain dew and watch your x-games and come back when you have something better than 'tool' to say.
Stop being such an emo hipster like the original poster. If you are looking for criticism about your fashion choices of bike parts, tattoos, and shoes then you will get it. There are a MILLION fixed gear riders here in NYC and I NEVER have a problem with any "fixed on fixed" hate because I don't invite their opinion into my life. But if you do, you get what you want.

This is the best thread.
As for people hating on your tattoos, solution - don't get tattoos. Oh I guess that's out of the question because they are an essential part of your identity and without them you would be lost. Ok.
Just by reading this one sentence I can tell that you are such a **** that it amazes me you were even able to land a job to get the money for your bike. They are laughing at you when you pass them bumping along on your saddle looking tough in your drops, or maybe, in a drop position on your risers? Probably the latter. Maybe they would wave to you if you weren't doing your best Fred Durst on a fixed gear impression.
This is true.
Ya you did it first tell 'em!

Riding the streets and skatin' the vert. The riding helps strengthen the muscles around my aging knees, self serving circle of fun. I can see trying to ride a "fixie" on the ramp as a quick ticket to emergency room.

Yea me too, Milwaukee is nice but its not the same. A year from now I'll be moving back either to Logan's Square or bucktown, hopefully the rent doesn't keep skyrocketing in both :/

Honour scorned shall indeed be avenged, verily I dare say good Sir, it can only be avenged in the proper manner. Pistas at dawn! Have you a second?
