Toshi straps rock! Thanks for the tip

You're still alive and see you are rocking a brake.

Excellent.

That bike is beautiful.

Strip it and repaint the frame. Might make a nice conversion.

He should send it to me... those Merckx bikes are crap and I would be happy to dispose of it for him.

More importantly make sure you grind off all the braze-ons.

The crankset is great! I ran an Izumi V chain with it and it feels super strong. 44/16 is a good ratio for me since there are some rolling hills in this area. I recommend it :)

Excuse my ignorance, but what model D2 is that?

It's a 2009 Super Pista D2, if you go on the UK bianchi site you can see the frame and the specs.

Cool. I was debating between the Sugino Messenger 46t and the SRAM Omnium 48T. I can't decide!!!!!

So either be safe or be cool. The choice is clear.

considering that this is his 1st. bike, I'd say the choice was made before this thing ever hit the street.

i don't think he's trolling.

What's the big deal with having an expensive bike? I mean, bikes are expensive but not as expensive as, say, golf or traveling frequently. If someone has a job that affords him these luxuries, there is no reason he shouldn't buy a bike this nice (even if it is his first fg bike). For some people, $1500 isn't that much money for a hobby that will bring them years of enjoyment (not saying I'm one of those ppl...)
