hey peeps. i currently have soma hellyer pedals. they're quite good, and i like the 'v' type shape, if you know what i mean. only problem is, the back doesn't have holes for double straps. i'll illustrate here with the all-city cecil pro:

any suggestions? i'm not really interested in mks sylan/other rectangular pedals.

Sorry for hijacking.. but what about toe clips? Which toe clips would be good for double straps too..

You route your straps like this

try the origin 8, or mks custom nuevo, but those are bank

MKS sylvans. And you don't necessarily need toe clips that allows for double straps.

I use the GR-9's which are built for single straps, I fasten the second strap between the pedal and the clip bolts, looks loose, but once my feet are in the clips it doesn't move around at all. Could also do something like pancake4life has done. As for toe clips for double straps allcity and soma make some reasonably priced steel dual gated clips.

This is what I do with my GR-9s but with longer bolts. Not sure if they will work on the OP's pedals but try getting longer bolts for the clips to create a "hole" for the straps. I do it this way and my straps quite secure. Picture below shows someone using zip ties but just imagine that the bolts were longer:

Also try twisting a strap in between the holes so they slide less.

wabi pedals? you're ****ing kidding right?
do you guys not know how to read? apparently nobody can -- even the guy who wrote the review is illiterate and cannot read the big bold letter on the side of the pedals.

those are exustar pedals.

edit: just realized the guy who wrote the review is dennis of fixedgeargallery, so I am not surprised. that guy is an idiot.

Not much for looks but Ive been into the Sylvan tourings for awhile.
Easy to run double straps too and dont hurt your feet.

thats like saying "it's not a ****ing walmart bike, you're kidding right? it's a next bike"

i just got some origin8 pedals (not the campy knockoffs, these: https://www.bikewagon.com/Drivetrain/...-p6806141.html . local shop has them on sale for 30 bucks a pair, i'll chat more on that later) and there's fat slotting for double straps. I'll go kit it up with my mks alpha doubles later tonight.

What is the best pedal/clip/double strap combo? It seems like if you get all the high end stuff you can easily put 300 dollars into this.

I ride mks sylvans, mks clips, and toshi doubles.

There isn't a best combo, its just what you like. I've heard the all city clips are nice, they've got double gates. wabi straps are supposed to be good. I want to try hold fast, which are like velcro kinda straps. it's whatever you want.

I'm running these cheaper All-City track pedals, which are just rebranded Wellgo 908s, and do have 2 sets of holes. Nothing fancy by any means, but they get the job done and do come in some color options for all of you that pretend you don't care. Your All-City Cecil Pros are just rebranded Wellgo R025s btw.

i used to have wellgos on my bike that got stolen.
Now I have MKS sylvans, MKS toe clips, origin8 double straps (don't judge. I'll get better straps after this one snaps.)
