Handlebar diameter on the Dawes SST?

Handlebar diameter on the Dawes SST?

I converted my Dawes SST to a fixed gear already and I want to get new handlebars (I don't like the drop bullhorns on it). Does anyone know the diameter of the clamp of the stem that comes on it originally so I know what size handlebar to get?

Either 26.0 or 31.8. If they're really thicker at the clamp, 31.8. Otherwise they're 26.0.

Cool, thanks. Is 26.0 mm a kinda rare size? When I go online to look for handlebars I usaually see only 25.4 and 31.8

True story: You can use a 25.4mm bar and a shim made from a section of a PBR tallboy can.

Pfft! And where would your average fixed gear rider get one of those?

I'll set up an ebay auction selling them for $5 each (+$3 S&H).
