Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? The weight difference is not significant unless you are worried about the difference of seconds over many miles of climbing. Despite the (exceedingly minor) weight penalty of the cxp33 you will benefit from its better aerodynamic properties (also exceedingly minor). Basically in the end, unless your riding is heavily biased towards a particular activity such as climbing or sprinting, the minor weight/aero differences will basically cancel each other out over the long run so neither of these properties are really worth loosing sleep over.

If I were you, when choosing between these rims, I'd focus more on your weight and intended spokecount/lacing pattern. If you are heavy and/or want reduced spoke counts, and/or ride in fairly rough conditions (e.g. cyclocross), go with the heavier deeper stronger CXP33 rim. If you are light and want a standard 32 3x wheelset for road riding, the OPs are probably the better choice.
