Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

VeganRider, just wear what you like. Probably nothing leather. A Slayer shirt would definitely be appropriate, though a Michael Bolton shirt would be more ironic.

No leather? That's actually one of the reasons I'm missing winter. Crashes are so much nicer with a good 1/4" of leather around you...

Man that's a great movie! Got a divX rip of it on CD somewhere... I should watch it again. I love the part where they smash the printer that always jammed - I need to try and keep the good memory of it in my head more often when I'm at work so I don't smash the ones I run!

I insinuated neither. Just couldn't believe someone couldn't figure out how to get dressed for riding fixed. I didn't ask anyone, b/c I could give 2 *****s. Kilts are a challenge.

My little sister justifies it by only buying used leather - the animal died before she came to her convictions...

Other things are different.
If you get hooked to the fixie, you won't care what you wear. You'll go out in your sunday best, if that's what you're already wearing!
Just roll that pantleg up

nonsense. We've got elitists poseurs and hopeless snobs as well. A couple trolls, some nice, helpful folks, and then there's Merton, who's in a class by himself (and he took the short bus to get there).

Oh and a few drunks, myself included.
