Does Kashimax make the only moveable TT protector?

I need a TT protector that I can move around. I usually just take some padded grip tape and wrap it with cloth bar tape for a $5 TT protector. But now I use track drops and aerobars which strike the frame at two different positions. The Kashimax TT protector is nice and does the job because I can move it around. But at $40, that's a bit high.

Are there any other TT protectors out there that are movable?

Thanks

ive never seen another brand of TT protector. You could just wrap bar tape around two different places on your top tube, though that would look pretty sloppy i suppose.

Yeah, that's what I'm trying to avoid doing. But, I've seen some guys at the track do that.

I still can't figure out why that darn thing is $40. It's a great product, but dam.

I'd just wrap two places. Done tastefully, it doesn't have to look sloppy.

Or make one yourself, something like one of those full length top tube pads but only a couple of inches long.

How far apart are the contact points? If they're not too far away you could do one wrap over the whole contact area.

That's an option.

There is no way I'm showing up to the track with a full sized top-tube pad on my bike.

Wait, so you have aerobars mounted to track drops? What do you use this for? Any pics, I'm curious.

Haha. No, I have track drops for mass start races and aerobars for time trials.

Oh okay, two different bars interchangeably on the same frame. Thought I was going crazy for a second.

I would opt for the kashimax, a ring of metal will do more to prevent a tube ding than a thick pad or wrap. Yes it's expensive but nice track frames should stay that way.

That's a shame. I was about to suggest one of these beauties

Anyways I'm also interested in seeing what people have to say here. So far I'm just getting by with bar tape under a few layers of electrical tape. A kashimax would be nice... if it didn't cost $40.

This seems like something knog should be making, what with their affinity to silicon and fancy colors.

I like my 5Gold, it was worth it since I swap out bars often.
