Hey bikesdirect: it's time to make a 650c kilo tt.

remember how you revolutionized track bikes by introducing the affordable Mercier Kilo TT? its time for another push of revolution with a 650c kilo tt.

not "just sayn'", we needs it.

problem: the 44cm or 47cm sloping top tube with 700c wheels aint cutting it, we needs the smalls.
solution: see the IRO "Heidi" HD 650c only frame for reference. (and since even IRO seems like they've sold out of the heidi, perfect time to jump on if you are able to pull it off and push it for sale on your website right now)

make it laced to 32h formulas, no slope top tube. kthx.

Hey BikesDirect,

I'm seconding the idea of a 650c Kilo. You would own the short end of the market ;D

My 47cm Kilo here.

bikesdirect has been phasing out all 650c frames so this wont happen. theres little demand.

rimshot! yes, the seat tube and headtube are a good five centimeters short. the frame proportions are silly.

iro heidi math time:

9cm head tube - 1.5cm shorter fork - 2cm less bottom bracket drop = like a 700c frame with a 6.5cm head tube.

for reference, a 54cm frame usually has a 13 or 14cm head tube so the heidis bars are 75mm lower. this frame is idiotic unless you absolutely need the stand over clearance, and even then, youll need 55mm plus of spacers. also, its bottom bracket is 2cm lower than a kilo so its not the best idea to ride this frame fixed.
