The grips are champs clear+sparkle. I got some cloth white tape for some non shiite risers(they are faux carbon and rusting)

yeah, i prefer to ride w/ a brake, but I'm not on this bike. I have a beater bike that I commute on and a roadie, so this thing doesn't get ridden every day. Also, I usually only ride it during the day time. Basically, I just try and be smart about it, but I'm definitely not going to desecrate this frame by putting a clamp on brake or w/e on it.
Also, it looks even better (IMO) now that it has silvery Campy seat post and black cork tape on the bars. Ill post pics next time I get access to a camera

i've always wanted an njs frame but unfortunately i would have to sell pretty much every part on my current build and buy different parts so as to not make it look redonkulous (can't picture an njs frame with ellipses or omniums, or threadless for that matter lol)

I also saw a NJS bike with threadless headset (at C$cly in Tokyo). It used an old Nitto's CrMo stem (for 1inch column Ahead) which is pretty slim almost like their quills. Very classy looking.

ya, ellipses would look alright. i thought I would need a nicer wheelset for mine but i'll probably just keep the veeps on there. You should get one. It's fun knowing your bike is more or less one of a kind.

congrats on getting a concept. cool frame. why didn't you pursue building up that watanabe, though?

I had my IRO I rode and I had the Watanabe frame lying in my room for months.
I guess I was impatient, but I thought, if I just combined the value of both things and upgraded, I'll just have ONE SWEET BIKE! During which time I also had to choose between a traditional setup, like NJS, or a modern build, aluminum track frame.
So I went for the latter and decided to sell my NJS
, (for way too little, I might add), and went on a hunt for a sick, legit track frame with what I had. And before I knew it, this nearly flawless Concept popped up and I had to have it! (I might have overpaid a bit, but this tends to happen when I really want something
) I got it shipped down to here from Canada and it came in 2 days ago.But now, I have the same dillemma. Moneys!! Working as a part-time student sucks, and it takes forever to save up, and now I'm forced to wait again. This time I'm determined though, it's all thought out.
Everything from the IRO is going onto my baby as a temporary set up. Now all I have to do is save up!

But in the pic, I'm running 28c tires with the wheel tucked all the way in, but I'm planning on running 25c in the rear, which would make a little more outside. Hope it won't be too much though.
Oh and sorry OP for hijacking the thread.

I considered a Concept this past weekend for about a second when my cdale track deal fell through. Bummer ab the Watanabe, but I know more than anyone that these frames come and go!
Here's a recent shot of my Panasonic (it's in my sig but I love this pic):

Yea, he undersold me. I guess it happens....I've got a little something hot in the works though, stay tuned.
Hint:
It's aluminum, it's from 1997, and it's American, and it's not the Cdale.

The Concept is a 53cm, with a 53.5 TT and 53 ST
My IRO was a 50cm, with a 51.5 TT and 50cm TT
So there's actually quite a bit of difference, it's just not too noticeable because the Concept has oversized tubing.
Darn, I didn't realize swapping a crankset would cost $60 at the LBS. First thing tomorrow I'm going to the Bike Kitchen and doing it on my own. Doesn't hurt to learn how to do something like this either

I listed it for 600, got a million replies, but sold to the first one, who turned out to be a sh*t of a hassle, but I wanted the money quick, and it left for 595. Could've went for so much more if I just listed it a bit higher...

Specialized! I'm the guy that bought your Watanabe. Sorry if I was a sh*t of a hassle. I swear it's like God tried everything in his power to stop me from getting that frame, but I prevailed! Also.. I found that 5 bucks I was missing under my seat.. so if you want it, I got it.
Well, here's a crappy phone pic of the Watanabe.. almost done
