Free chrome shoes!!

I hope I'm not the first one posting this, but Chrome is giving away free shoes, their Kursk model, in their "Turds for Gold Shoe exchange"!

Here's more info:
https://prollyisnotprobably.com/2010/...d_shoe_exc.php
https://www.facebook.com/chromebags.s....4279010212..1

"This is floating all over and there's a good reason why; it's a pretty great offer! Read up on all the details for Chrome's Turds For Gold Shoe Exchange below.

In an attempt to let the world know how committed they are to their footwear line, Chrome announces their Turds For Gold Shoe Exchange. For two days only, Chrome will be slinging a new pair of shoes to anyone that sends them a worn-out pair of kicks.
“There are a lot of great shoe brands out their but few, if any, are made to handle the harsh demands of riding in the city,” says Chrome Marketing Director, Matt Sharkey.

“Our shoes are built to hold up under the toughest conditions and are designed 100% to address the needs of the everyday city cyclist. Not only did we want to build a shoe that was durable and functional, but we also paid close attention to overall fit and timeless style.”

The exchange begins on Wednesday, March 17 and ends promptly the next day on Thursday, the 18th. Packages must be post marked by 3/18 to qualify and should include a return shipping address and shoe size info.

Please ship all packages to:
Chrome Industries
Attn: Turds for Gold/Sharkey
580 4th Street
San Francisco, CA 94107"

All you have to do is ship your old shoes to them and have it postmarked by tomorrow 3/18, and they'll send you a new pair of Kursks!
Totally legit guys, they're super cool for doing this!

Bikes: 82 Bianchi ECO Pista, Pake, Kilo TT, some *** bmx i found underneath an old house

you gotta wonder how much poor word of mouth has impacted sales of these shoes to the point of Chrome basically giving them away. I know response to them has been negative for the most part, but I didn't think it had gotten this bad.

Totally agree.
Free, new shoes are better than my old, torn, and unused ones however you look at it.
The best thing is there's no limit, so I can send all my old shoes that are lying around and have them replaced with new ones.
Edit: I'm not sure if there's a limit. I misread the post. There's no limit to how badly worn your old shoes are though.

You can send them any shoes. It's fine.

I just dropped off a pair of mine, and a six-pack... =). Drove from Davis to SF.... LOL.

Pretty sure it's one replacement shoe pair per household.

Unfortunately, those shoes would never fit my wide feet otherwise I would get a pair (from this promo; not pay for them).

Bikes: too many

once pair per person. so your roommates can get a pair if it's got a different name and it's in its own box

Am I the only person who is a skeptic? I find no reference to this from any Chrome source--- and I could start my own Chrome facebook page--- so I don't really consider that a legit source of info. Everything else is the same excited cut and paste job.

Let me know when your shoes arrive.

anyone know how these run? I've got some shoes with holes that I might send in, but I want to make sure that I get the proper size.
