Yeah, well... I'm more into regular old skateboarding but I do dabble in the longboarding on occassion.

I forget what they're called but I have two
I usually ride this one around
3 by Benji Reynolds, on Flickr
and the shorter one at the skatepark (riding pools and such)
Longboards by Benji Reynolds, on Flickr
I actually have the purple wheels on both of them now, I put those green wheels back on my santa cruz landshark.

My geared bike, actually my main bike at the moment until I can find a ss/fg that fits me, is a 2008 Bianchi Volpe. Mostly stock except clipless pedals, fenders, Michelin City tires and a rack. Switched out to celeste bar tape now. Got it cheap because it was still hanging around the bike shop in spring 2010. Her name's Goldie (natch). I would remove the decals on the top tube if they weren't under the clear coat - seriously, I do not know what Bianchi was thinking with this one. She's a little ugly and a little too big for me but she's relatively nimble and fun to ride for commuting and touring.

Don't have a good picture of it, but here's my hybrid after a winter commute to work a couple years ago. Trek WSD 7.2fx, was my first bike purchase since childhood and I pretty quickly upgraded to the Bianchi. Learned I hate step through frames and wanted something that was a bit quicker and more nimble. Now I use its slow stable nature to my advantage as my winter bike.

Mine unfortunately haven't seen very much use. As I quit using them as transportation when I got my fixed gear and the college I go to doesn't really have much of a skate scene or hills for that matter. Had to give up snowboarding too.

It weights in at ~20lbs right now, and it feels good... I'm still waiting for the correct lockring, and a few tweaks to the derailleurs to make everything how it should be. I don't have much to compare to the red shifters, but I have to say I can understand why its so sought after :-D

Spent like 5 weeks on this piece of work. Got the bike for free from a neighbor. never talked to the guy before, but saw he had a few in his back yard when the fence was being re-built. I walked over, he's like 80, talked to him for a bit, he gave it to me for free.
Sandblasted it, etching primer, filler primer, pink, clear sparkle, logo's, clear.
Had to soak the parts in wood bleach / acid to clear off the rust, and all but a few patches on bolts came clean. All the chrome shined up real nice with only a few hints of cracked chrome.
I stripped one of the cottering pins on the cranks, and snapped a bolt on the original stem shifter. Everything else was good putting it together again. New tubes and tires, new brake and shifter cables, new brake pads, new bar wrap, lots of grease. The bearings were all in good enough condition once i cleaned out the crusty old grease from the 70's.
Brent and Jen are getting married on 9-10-11. Brent had me build the bike as a pseudo wedding gift for her. It was a surprise.
after tons of tlc
Close up of the sparkle:
I flipped the seat post around after this pic. Looked too ugly this way and she isn't that aggressive of a rider

That cleaned up nice--good job. The seatpost looks backward to me, though.

Steal with a carbon fork...feels great, super easy to cruise down a cobble stone road.
