returning to single speed

i have been riding fixed gear for a couple of months now but i think id like to be able to coast again. ive tried flipping the wheel and cog but its fixed on both sides. what do i need to do to be able to return to single speed?

Remove the fixed cog on one of the sides and replace it with a single speed freewheel.
