Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

KROIL penetrating oil. Unsiezed a siezed alu seapost in an alu frame. Claims to penetrate to the thousands of an inch. Comes in a spray.

It looks like Specialized is upgrading the fram material for the langster to Columbus SLX. Maybe this is the reason for the cost increase.

That would help. I've seen the Langster Pro and it seems to be a nice setup, but time will tell.

I just got back from the Basel Cycle Messenger Championships, which was fun, but the gear was too low. I'm gonna just ride around without a lockring until it loosens. I've been skidding all over the place with no lockring, and not a bit of slipping. There were some really cool track bikes there.

Cause this computer doesn't have a picture reducer, it's too large for an attachment AND I don't have web space.

That's like 3 excuses for one thing. Wow.
