Thread closings?

I don't understand why so many threads get closed? I see no problem with a lot of them. For example, the "woul you be caught riding this?" There was nothing wrong with that thread really, but yet it got closed down. I though that could've been fun but I guess not.

You wouldn't think that there would be so many angry people riding bikes but there are. It's sad the way threads head down the crapper about really harmless things. I for one applaud the moderators for trying to maintain some semblence of order.

the jackass/poser thread ran its course and ended up being a constant battle. Threads making fun of other people's bikes are bound to cause friction. "Would you be caught riding this?" was the same sort of thread.
