Spacer / Locknut question

The bolts that are between the frame and the axle. On my rear wheel, are the spacers suppose to be tightened towards the cartridge or the frame?

I saw the info on the cone adjustment / tightening but don't know which way to tighten the spacers.

I'm not sure what you are asking here? If you are referring to the loose hex nuts, they go on the outside of the frame and clamp the wheel against the frame when you tighten them.

This is a bike from Bikes Direct heh. They were lose. So I tightened them very little and went for a ride. No big issues. From what I saw it said not too little not too tight. But that was a really generic answer I found.

Why don't you email BD and see if they can explain this, since I don't understand why they would be loose. If the axle spins easily and there is no side play in the wheel when you install it in the frame, then I wouldn't worry about it. Perhaps an owner of Fantom Cross Uno will read this thread and have an answer.
