Handlebar help needed
I’m thinking about loosing my drops (I never use them and feel like I cant get enough leverage up hills) and going with a straight bar or bullhorns or a trekking bar.
I use my bike for commuting and weekend rides with an attached bike or a kid trailer hooked on (where I’m needing the leverage.)
What do you think would be the best option?
Thanks

I thought drops were FOR hills and leverage? I currently have risers and I travel uphill about everyday. Sometimes its tough and I wish I had drops. Point is, I dont think switchin to risers will help your leverage; as your seat to bar drop will be decreased

The drop part of the drops are best for downhill, in to the wind and fast out of the saddle sprints, for me anyways.
I like bar ends for out of the saddle uphills on flatbar or risers, bullhorns are just as nice in that respect. I frequently put my hands close to the stem for seated climbs, on drop bars, flat bars, risers, cruiser bars, bullhorns, whathaveyou.
