Ditto, and they're made by MaxWay.

wow...I actually like grinding gear better now hahahahahaha. Thats even more lame....So I guess maybe I should go with a kilo because of the price and colors?

Chelseaandannoy 07-06-10 10:42 PM

Yeah that is a nice bike, and I like the "Lager" a lot.

Squirrelli 07-06-10 10:44 PM

I'd got for Kilo just because it's Reynold 520 and cheap, but go for it if it has the colour you like.

Isn't the Lager same as Fuji Track...which is basically the same as the Hour, which is the same as the...(You get the point)

Scrodzilla 07-06-10 10:45 PM

The "Landing Gear" stems from the original BMX bike the PK fixed gear is based on. Do a little research before you **** talk it.

edit: I'm not saying that to be a dick, just trying to get across that it's good to learn/know stuff.

squeegeesunny 07-06-10 10:47 PM

Kilo is the best bang for your buck, but eventually you are going to want to slowly upgrade parts. = $$. If you dont want to, Go with the Wabi. Hell, I'd even just recommend the PK Ripper for the hell of it. It has decent parts and it'll handle the harsh streets of NYC pretty well. + street creds. lulz.

edit: dont know why i said NYC... lmao

Chelseaandannoy 07-06-10 11:01 PM

hahaha its ok everyone slips the NYC in there sometimes

yeah I think the Kilo is sweet plus I was going for a gold color probably so that might be it.

Chelseaandannoy 07-06-10 11:02 PM

well **** dude....thats ridiculous haha. Yeah I just meant that I didnt like the landing gear original quote but I didnt know that was on the other bikes too

Chelseaandannoy 07-06-10 11:04 PM

Also....that redlight color of the kilo is beautiful, I may just go for that haha. But **** man why dropdowns, I hate dropdowns so much. I wish bikesdirect had a choice to order bullhorns or flats. Do you guys know if the bike comes with the drop downs and brakes already on them? I hope not.

Edit: I meant do the brakes come already on the drop downs but now that im looking at the picture they are set up on like they would be on bullhorns so that isnt too bad

squeegeesunny 07-06-10 11:08 PM

Nah. The kilo's comes with brakes attached(well for mine it did) , cables are in the box, and the levers are pre-attached to the handlebar. The handlebar is not on the bike.

Chelseaandannoy 07-06-10 11:16 PM

Ok thats fine, as long as they arent attached to the dropdowns like the windsor bikes...i hate that so much.

I wish the Kilo Stripper came in Grape like the Kilo TT because the stripper looks so good without the stickers/logos showing. I like the clean look

Chelseaandannoy 07-06-10 11:29 PM

BTW does anyone know if the decals on the Kilo TT are above or below the paint?

squeegeesunny 07-06-10 11:33 PM

under clearcoat.

Chelseaandannoy 07-06-10 11:47 PM

Yeah I already made my decision. Im gonna go with the Gold 55cm Kilo Stripper and most likely mix some purple and dark green into the mix or something like that. woooooooooooooo awesome guys

Can everyone give me a bunch of good websites for a lot of parts, specifically wheelsets. Im looking for a purple wheelset

It would be appreciated

squeegeesunny 07-07-10 10:46 AM

Im still thinking about the feather haha. Its a beautiful bike

ThePritchett 07-08-10 05:44 PM

I'm in the same situation. Trying to decide between a mustard colored fuji feather, and (whatever color is available in my size) Kilo... I'm sure I'd eventually spend almost 300 bucks to make the kilo into something I'm happy with... There's not a ton i'd change on the feather. Maybe polished rims and brown leather saddle/tape/straps. But the blue feather looks hot too... wouldn't change anything on that... maybe white or polished rims... polished king headset on either fuji...

This will be my first road bike, but I have four other bikes that have been built just how I wanted them. Always costs more than I want it to.

PK Ripper is nice, I'd get it , but I dont do tricks so whats the point? Do you plan on doing tricks? If you are, you should invest in a steel frame, not an aluminum frame.

I used a bit of psychology there.

Currently I would say that the pistas are over priced and you can do better by getting something else for a bit less. This is coming from someone who happily owns an 05 pista.
