<3's all the China/Taiwan bashing. I hope you realise 90% of the **** we buy is made in Asia. You wouldn't be able to buy so much cheap **** if it weren't for that continent. Count your blessings. If you really want to avoid buying bikes from Taiwan, electronics from China and clothing from Bangladesh, then fork over a ton more cash for locally-produced goods, at significant labour costs, meagre selection and sometimes even poorer quality and service.
It's a ****ed up world. Now go ride your Chinese-made bike. Sheesh. |

I'm in the same situation. Trying to decide between a mustard colored fuji feather, and (whatever color is available in my size) Kilo... I'm sure I'd eventually spend almost 300 bucks to make the kilo into something I'm happy with... There's not a ton i'd change on the feather. Maybe polished rims and brown leather saddle/tape/straps. But the blue feather looks hot too... wouldn't change anything on that... maybe white or polished rims... polished king headset on either fuji...
This will be my first road bike, but I have four other bikes that have been built just how I wanted them. Always costs more than I want it to. |
I would check out that $80 feather for sure.

Yes - I've seen pics of another one from the keirin dudes (forget his name - "keirin ambassador"?) blog, it was a nice japanese bike.
Tomity! Here's a blog entry about him:http://www.cyclezine.net/2010/05/10/...n-storytomity/ And here is another w/ his old fuji feather: http://nihonmaru.blogspot.com/2008/0...her-compo.html |
