IRO Angus Toe Overlap

Im looking to buy a IRO angus for $250. It fits well except that there is some toe overlap when I try my hardest to touch the front tire. How can I fix this?
should I:
install shorter cranks?
Get different clips?
not buy track geometry?

Im looking to use this as a campus bike so I dont have to ride my road bike around.
thanks

Stop worrying about it. My Madison has some pretty decent toe overlap when I "try my hardest" but it's never caused me one second of grief when actually riding my bike.

Yeah, I think the most practical solution here is to not "try your hardest" to touch the front tire with your foot.

Since yur just usin it around campus
Try Pedal Straps.
No toe clip to hit the tire
You can easily shift yur foot front to back on the pedal when doin tight turns or
if yur toe does hit the tire yu can shift yur foot back.
Pedal straps also allow you to wear any type of shoe like Boots in the winter time.
Or just buy a bike with no toe overlap! Like a Nice MTB!!

Burrobags.com has low priced but quality straps.

point your foot up or down if its coming close. if you ride enough, it won't be a task to know where your feet are.

Toe overlap is a combination of track geometry and smaller sized frames. Bikes 57 and up tend not to have it. Bikes 53 and smaller do. And of course, shoe size and crank length play a minor factor, too.

This was one thing I was concerned with when switching to track geo. Really not as big a deal as I thought.

Thanks for the advice
Does $250 sound like a good price?

$250 is a decent price for an IRO. Is it all stock?

On this topic, what about toe clip size? Obviously a larger toe clip will be larger, but lets say I bought a smaller toe clip size to try and avoid toe overlap. Is there any downside to this?

You will have sore toes/feet when you're using clips that are too small, because the ball of your foot will not be placed directly on the pedal, your feet be at the edge of the pedals.

a friend had a 53 angus with medium toeclips and no toe overlap. i have noticed that a lot of riders use clips that are too big for their feet anyway. if your frame is smaller than that, i would assume that you have smaller feet, therefore smaller clip. make sure you are using the right size for your feet.
