Insurance would pay the bills if I die but I can't enjoy either if I'm a vegetable
too much....my pension pays it though so I'm not worried just means I have to work if I want any toys

Always on the track (mandatory) or off road, usually on the road, unless it's a really short trip to do a quick errand or visit someone nearby. The only time I've ever needed it has been when I crashed in races, and several times I got concussions anyway, so if I hadn't been wearing it I'd either be a vegetable or dead, but wearing a helmet when racing is mandatory.
