Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

I enjoyed the juxtaposition of the rider and the lowrider.

sure it happened at some time during the production... doesn't mean you have to call it that just because the word is one or two letters shorter.

yo, check out my new Encode. i did some pretty awesome tricks on a bike that makes them look wholly unimpressive and awkard looking. The last encode didn't include clips of me wearing my new T-level windbreaker so i had to do this Encode.

I don't call anything what it is anymore because i'm from a subculture and we brand ourselves because we're so much cooler than anyone else.

it's called a video, people.

Thank you. Came to post, but you put it better than I could have.

next time, include a juxtaposition of the rider doing a straight air with a bmx rider doing an inverted 360 double tailwhip.

Well, I thought it was pretty cool. I'm not really into tricking, but it was fun to watch.

Props.

Rider has skill for sure, but after a minute, its kind of redundant...

Any 14 year old BMXer can do these tricks. Not worthy of a video part.

at least i don't get worked up over scratches on bikes or hotlinked images over three megs.

plus, when i get worked up over lingo it's meant to be half humorous.

cc700 has a point. WTF is a "fixed gear edit"?

"Hey, check my new video. It's got some stunts, different soundtrack. Check it out and gimme some feedback. Thx."

Less pretentious = more positive interaction

I like to advertise my sick, newly dropped collabo edits with 3MB thumbnail teaser pics of my scratched up bike.

That's what she . . . oh wait, you meant that on purpose. Never mind.

To OP, look, I think it's cool that you can do tricks, but if you post the video with excessive unnecessary punctuation ("@" really?) and excitement as though you are some famous trick rider, people are not going to be impressed. Modesty isn't such a bad thing to have.

I do actually know what you're talking about, but I don't remember where to find it either. I've also seen this video:

You did some good tricks. But, not worth all of this. By the way, the same tricks are easier on a BMX, that's why BMXers progress faster on to bigger tricks.

If they made a video of that their friends would come and take his bike apart and brand him, steal his 6mm allen key and vise grips. He'd never be allowed near a skatepark or six pack ever again.

Outed.
