No, a track frame in SS mode is a SS not a road bike. I got a geared roadie last and am loving it. The SS is for getting back and forth to work, and jetting around the city. Learning the gears once more has been fun, and my legs are feeling the increased resistance.

3 months from now I'm gonna be making the same post in the Fruit Cups forum, talking about how I'm going to the Paleo Diet (Cyclocross).

Funny I was just in seattle and noticed a real lack of fixed gears. Almost everyone had geared bikes. Now it may have been the part of town I was in (the U district) but I really thought I'd see more than I do in pdx. I'm on a tour right now, so got the geared bike up again (my knees prefer fixed actually) but a soon as I get back I'm going back to fixed. I'm looking to turn my cross check into a 29er fixie for the winter. I'd like to give my leader at least one winter inside lol!
