Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

I got it.

Although I do not need it actually. But it has nice Ksyrium wheel and Nitto bar I would have.
Also it turned out it came with new set of bar/levers/brakes never intsalled
Everything else will require TLC (probably strip the paint from the rims - cause it is ugly, frame scratched a lot but no dings)..and I will try to sell it.. or keep it.. (?)

It's my size but the black rear triangle makes me a little wary.

I've really gotta get in touch with Crandall about a sword frame. Definitely unique, even here, in the home of FBM.

If it weren't a little too big for me, it would be on my PedalRoom in about a week.

PORTLANDERS! Offer $500 on my behalf, dibs it, and ship it to me. I'm serious. I emailed the owner. Waiting to hear back.

How about either of these:

www.ebay.com/itm/De-Rosa-1982-Track-Frame-Set-55cm-White-Columbus-Campagnolo-Tange-NJS-Fixed-Gear-/200816432196

www.ebay.com/itm/Pake-French-75-Track-Frame-and-Fork-55cm-Blue-BRAND-NEW-w-FREE-UPS-SHIPPING-/350589058127

As a footnote, I'm not so much concerned about price as I am about value. I'd rather pay $800 for something that's worth $1200 than to pay $100 for something that's worth $50.

The first one is the frame you already posted.

The Pake French 75 is a great frameset and that's an awesome price. Nobody seems to want the blue ones now that it's available in matte black.

I had the Pake rum runner steel frame. A little heavy but still a great city bike. Never ridden their alu frame. I'd suspect it's decent too but not sure.

That other green frame looks awful.

Didn't mean to post the green one twice.

But I thought it looked fairly similar to the Bareknuckle I posted in the other thread (hope I don't get flogged for saying that)

The De Rosa?

You're all over the place here. Are you sure you know what you want?

Yeah, I want a nice little fixie to cruise around town with. But beyond that, no, I probably don't know what I want. I haven't set myself a price range. But I figure if I get a good deal, then I can always sell it later without much loss.

For what it's worth that green bareknuckle is a really good deal. Even with the uggo blue matchy match thing going on.

Yeah, but my guess is that it won't sell anywhere near what it's currently at. If it were buy-it-now at $400, I would have bought it last night.
