Stem and seatpost suggestions

I need a new stem and seatpost. I've been looking around online stores and eBay, but the choices are so extensive that I have no idea which one(s) to pick.

Requirements:

stem - 26.0 clamp diameter, 80mm length, 1 1/8" steerer
seatpost - 27.2, zero setback

I'm a college student trying to save a buck, so economical suggestions would be preferable.

In my opinion, get a Thomson off craiglist or forums, 100 for both. Otherwise, get something cheapo and find your perfect stem fit while you save your duckets for Thomson.

I was thinking of waiting around for a nice used Thomson seatpost at a good price on eBay. I will probably, like you said, get a cheaper stem to find one that fits perfectly.

Thanks for the link, Vixtor. I might go with that. I'll see if I can find anything else.

VO stem. Affordable and purty.

I have had excellent luck at my local "salvage" bike shops...they always have at least something interesting

Thomson zero-setback seatpost and stem, both from eBay for ~50% list: https://www.dim.com/~ryoder/SomaPhotos/IMGP0014.jpg
